Press Release – Project Koudiet Eddraouch Power Plant, Algeria

STEAM & WATER ANALYSIS SYSTEM

SWAN Systeme AG manufactured 3 steam and water analysis & sampling shelters for 3 HRSGs. Each shelter is for 12 sample lines (Feedwater, boiler waters, steam lines and condensates) and contains 26 instruments.

The scope included a separate shelter for samples of 2 auxiliary boilers. Originally, this was specified as an outdoor rack but was then changed to a shelter upon SWAN recommendation. This shelter is for 4 sample lines and 10 instruments.

Furthermore, one sampling rack for indoor installation for condenser monitoring combining chlorine measurement in condenser outlet boxes and specific conductivity measurement in condenser indoor installation was delivered.

Typical for SWAN is the modular set-up of sample conditioning with all functional elements for safe automatic operation (e.g. temperature protection, pressure regulation, flow monitoring) as well as the modular set-up, from the definition of the subsystems, to sample conditioning down to the instruments (SWAN analyzers) for simple operation and excellent maintainability and upgradeability.
